    Samsung was where I got my first deep dive into browser engineering. I learned how modern browsers work behind the scenes and had the opportunity to contribute to Samsung Browser on both Android and PC, working across the Extensions, Navigation, Loader, and Downloads modules while building features and tackling complex engineering problems.

    Navigation and Loader

    I contributed to Samsung Browser by working on webpage navigation and loading, with a focus on features such as Prefetching, Preloading, Back/Forward Cache (BFCache), and User-Agent handling to deliver a faster and more reliable browsing experience.

    On Device Translation

    I contributed to Samsung Browser by working on the On-Device Translation feature, focusing on integrating and enhancing translation capabilities directly within the browser to provide a faster, more private, and seamless multilingual browsing experience.

    Downloads

    I contributed to Samsung Browser by working on download management and insecure download protection

    Extension

    I learned how browser extensions interact with the browser internals. I worked on Samsung Browser by developing extension APIs, building features across the native and extension layers, and integrating AI-powered capabilities to enhance the browsing experience.

Open-Source Project

Traceback

Traceback is a single-user desktop app for Android/Chromium engineers. You paste a tombstone or a logcat FATAL block containing a native backtrace with hex pc offsets; the app parses every frame, resolves each offset against locally indexed symbol files, and shows the hex offset and the resolved symbol side by side.
